Concert: Summer Songwriting Project

Back in June, the seeds of a Culture Days event were planted. Over the summer, songwriters were inspired by materials from the Provincial Archives of Alberta. The work of this great partnership is about to bear fruit!

Press Release from the Provincial Archives of Alberta:

Culture Days: A Heritage Song at the Provincial Archives of Alberta

In partnership with Rhea March and the School of Song, emerging singers and songwriters bring the records and treasured stories from the Provincial Archives to life! Drawing inspiration from primary archival sources such as photographs, old newspapers, journals, sound recordings and audiovisual collections these Alberta based entertainers use their musical artistry to tell tales through song, interpreting and reflecting on Alberta’s history and what life was like here many years ago! Enjoy original musical compositions inspired by Alberta’s people and rich cultural past with special guest singer-songwriter and Juno nominee, Maria Dunn.
